Jasmine Dellal’s film (shot by cinematographer Albert Maysles) is a dazzling display of the musical world of the Roma, as musicians from Romania, India, Spain and Macedonia perform on a five-week “Gypsy Caravan” tour of the United States and Canada. This rich feature documentary celebrates the luscious music of top international Gypsy performers (many of whom were featured in the documentary LATCHO DROM) and interweaves stirring real-life tales of their home life and social background.
